Business Guide for e-residents

Want to know how to run your cross border business? e-Residency together with PricewaterhouseCoopers has compiled guidelines to walk you through the process, focusing mostly on Estonian taxation and accounting.

Business & Accounting

  • A company registered by an e-resident in Estonia is no different to a company registered by Estonian citizens – same rights, same obligations
  • A Private Limited Company is usually the most suitable business entity for e-residents and the most common among Estonians as well
  • Important! By law, you must submit an annual report for your company. Failing to submit your annual reports will end up in dissolution of your company

Estonian Taxes

  • e-Residency will not change your personal tax residency
  • A company registered in Estonia is automatically a tax resident in Estonia
  • Your personal residency may trigger tax residency for your company in your place of residence as well
