In 2014, Estonia became the first country in the world to offer e-Residency, a government issued digital ID that enables holders to establish and run businesses online, i.e. with no physical presence in the country. To-date, the program has attracted a global community of 113,000 entrepreneurs, freelancers and startup founders, including over 6700 Germans. Recently, Estonia broke the world record for the fastest-company founding with 15 minutes and 33 seconds. The country also boasts an active startup community with 10 unicorn companies having grown out of Estonia.

e-Residents are able to found and run their EU-based businesses and startups 100% online. The most common use cases are international founders and startup teams or e-commerce businesses as well as companies which would like to base part of their international operations in Estonia, a country that also tops International Tax Competitiveness Index for the last 10 years.

The event will include a short presentation and panel discussion with e-Resident founder Jan Johannes, Marili Ruus from Elevator Startups, Anne-Liis Theisen from Silva Hunt, Riina Leminsky from Invest in Estonia and Mats Kuuskemaa from e-Residency team which will be followed by food, drinks and networking.

This event is open to anyone is already an e-Resident as well as anyone interested in e-Residency and Estonia’s ecosystem.
