    Description

On October 6th, we will discuss the cross-border business opportunities for entrepreneurs in Brazil and Estonia. We will explore the advantages for Brazilians of working and operating a company from Estonia and for Estonian startups to choose Brazil as their expansion destination. Brazil is the 12th biggest economy, with over 13,000 startups and 210 million inhabitants, and one of the world’s biggest and most attractive markets. Estonia is a winning destination for entrepreneurs from all over the globe. It has one of the best tax systems, is the first country to offer e-Residency, and is the #1 in Europe in the number of unicorns per capita.

The first panel discussion is about the Brazilian Workforce, Entrepreneurs and Opportunities in the Estonian Market. We are focusing on the attraction of the Brazilian specialized workforce for Estonia-based startups, as well as opportunities for startup founders and freelancers who might want to operate remotely. Estonian startup and innovation ecosystem is very welcoming towards the foreign founders, the best example being the e-residency and startup visa. In this panel you get to know all these great possibilities to start the business in Estonia as a foreign founder. We will also discuss how Estonian companies have benefited from the Brazilian workforce, and how these two cultures are a better fit than some may think.

The second panel discussion is about Expanding to the Brazilian Market: Challenges and Opportunities. It focuses on presenting to Estonian startups and investors that wish to expand to the new markets the reasons why Brazil is the place to be, as well as introduce some of the legal challenges that they need to be aware of (such as regarding tax and labor law). How to do it with as few risks as possible, to know all the possibilities, to make the right contacts and what are the lessons learned from the real experiences?

    Speakers announced soon!

Both panels are 50 minutes, which gives us time to take the audience questions as well. The event is moderated by Grete-Maarja Tött, community manager at Tehnopol Startup Incubator.

This event is free but needs your registration. See you soon!
