About me

I'm Orest Zub, a Ukrainian online entrepreneur and digital nomad with a passion for exploring new cultures and sharing my experiences. Over the last decade, I have visited over 130 countries, spending at least six months a year traveling outside my base in Lviv, Ukraine. I am the author of the popular Ukrainian lifestyle blog, OpenMind.com.ua, which is connected to my personal social media channels, reaching over 100,000 followers.

As a managing partner of NomadMania.com, a travel tech company, I am deeply involved in the travel and digital nomad community.

In addition to my entrepreneurial pursuits, I am committed to resisting Russian aggression in Ukraine, building meaningful connections between Ukrainian institutions and the global community. I also served as a war reporter on the frontline during the first year of the full-scale war.

In my free time, I play tennis at a semi-professional level, a sport that keeps me grounded and motivated. The flexibility provided by Estonia’s e-⁠Residency program has been crucial in maintaining my business operations and supporting my lifestyle.

Let’s say it is the next tiny step that makes my business run smoothly and synchronize things. The pandemic hit the travel business hard, so I used the moment to automate my business model and therefore make my approach more structured. I have been an Estonian e-resident for over four years, during which time I founded two companies in Estonia. I actively promote the e-Residency program among Ukrainians and globally."
