About me
I'm Miguel Piñas Rodríguez, a Spanish entrepreneur with a passion for building and innovating businesses. Born in Madrid, I have embraced the digital nomad lifestyle, traveling to various locations from Latvia to Bali. Despite our travels, my partner Ignacio and I always find ourselves returning to Estonia, which we consider our home base due to its welcoming environment and robust digital infrastructure.
In 2017, we co-founded Companio, a company that assists new e-residents in establishing and managing location-independent businesses. Estonia’s e-Residency program has been pivotal in our success, allowing us to manage our business entirely online and operate from anywhere in the world.
My journey as a digital nomad began eight years ago when Ignacio and I decided to leave our traditional nine-to-five jobs in Madrid for a more flexible lifestyle. We quickly fell in love with Estonia's advanced e-governance system and decided to make it our headquarters. This decision has allowed us to grow Companio and help other entrepreneurs enjoy the freedom of digital nomadism.Estonia’s e-Residency program has not only facilitated my business operations but also allowed me to maintain a balance between work and life.
Additionally, I am a co-founder and part of the team at Dance in Latitudes, an initiative that brings together entrepreneurs and culture enthusiasts across Europe. We organize exciting events and journeys, like our upcoming adventure from Lisbon to Tallinn. This experience is designed for nomadic entrepreneurs, culture explorers, and community builders to connect, network, and grow.
